Increases in the standards of passive and active safety are the subject of our constant attention. When it comes to the safety of passengers and others we make no compromises, which is why you'll find only the most advanced technology in our cars.
The Octavia is equipped with an ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Program) system which includes the cooperating systems ABS, EBD, and ASR working in unison to enhance safety and control.
The new Octavia is also equiped with three-point adjustable front seatbelts, three three-point seatbelts in the back, a fourth generation immobiliser, safety lights on the panelling of the front doors, a system that automatically closes off the fuel supply in case of an accident and other important safety elements.
Comfort is also increased by new upholstery and a new design for the central part of the seats, harmonised with other interior elements, including the decorative trim inserts.
ESP Stabilisation System
The ESP electronic stabilisation system is one of the most advanced safety elements, together with the ABS, EBD, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA, DSR and ESBS systems.
Headrests
In addition to the solid structure of the body and seatbelts, the highest possible degree of protection for the passengers is provided by new, more effective headrests with the WOKS system in the front seats and three adjustable headrests for passengers in the rear.
Airbags
Airbags are among the most important safety elements in any vehicle. The new Octavia provides passengers with an impressive degree of protection in all models. The six airbags as standard include driver and front passenger, front side and curtain airbags for front and rear passenger protection.
Three-point seatbelts
Three-point adjustable seatbelts on all seats (on the front seats these are also pre-tensioned) are a matter of course in the Octavia.
