Phil Davis
ŠKODA is pleased to announce Phil Davis as one of its latest brand ambassadors. Currently co-captaining the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS with fellow ŠKODA ambassador Callan Ward, Phil is one of AFL's most promising young defenders. His AFL career began at Adelaide Football Club in 2008, making his AFL debut against Carlton in 2010. Nominated for the NAB Rising Star award later that year, Phil has gone on to impress lovers of the game around Australia. Still only 21-years-old, Phil is one of the youngest captains in AFL history. And for ŠKODA, that promises to be an exciting journey ahead.
Callan Ward
As a rising star in the Australian car market, ŠKODA is now delighted to have one of AFL's emerging champions grow alongside it. At just 21-years-old, Callan Ward has already achieved a great deal. After making his AFL debut with The Western Bulldogs back in 2008, he went on to receive an NAB Rising Star award in 2009. In Round 1 2012, Ward took to the field as co-captain of the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS, making him one of the youngest captains in AFL history. Now looking forward to a bright future ahead, ŠKODA is proud to have Callan as one of its newest brand ambassadors.
Kevin Sheedy
ŠKODA is thrilled to have Kevin Sheedy on board as our newest brand ambassador. As one of AFL's most enduring figures, Kevin has been a player and a coach for over 5 decades. He has an unsurpassed record of involvement in over 1000 games and 8 premierships, and is currently coach of the GWS Giants. In Kevin's own words, "being involved in a team that is seeking to achieve on the field and in the community by improving harmony, health, education and jobs across this region is something that really gets me going."
Phil Anderson
Phil Anderson OAM is one of Australia's cycling heroes, having kicked things off with a gold medal win in the 1978 Commonwealth Games. From that amazing start, up until his retirement after winning Commonwealth gold again in 1994, Phil had over 90 Classics and Tours wins. In 1981 he became the first Australian (and first non-European) to win the prestigious yellow jersey in the Tour de France. Ultimately Phil won the yellow jersey 11 times and rose to number one in the world. As a ŠKODA ambassador, Phil has been riding alongside fans at major cycling events and continuing as professional cycling correspondent.
Jack Bobridge
He may be young, but ŠKODA ambassador Jack Bobridge is already a legend in the world of professional cycling. In addition to winning several Australian and World Championship titles already, in 2009 he became Australia's first ever world champion in the under-23 time trial at the UCI Road Cycling World Championships in Mendrisio, Switzerland. Having been hailed by Lance Armstrong as "the real deal", he's now got his sights firmly set on the 2012 Santos Tour Down Under and the 2012 Olympics. See Jack's full list of achievements here.
